Men: If you are unsure to wear – go casual! There is no need to dress up for the tulip fields, but make sure you look put together! Wear a basic t-shirt or a graphic t-shirt and wear some jeans and sneakers that can get dirty. But, try to make your shirt a bright color to go with the cheery mood of the tulip fields. Use this look from Jake Gyllenhaal as an example!
BE PREPARED: Their website recommends throwing in an umbrella & some shoes you don’t mind getting dirty in case the conditions are muddy – so throw these in the car with ya!

There are many fields that are free and some free parking lots as well. If you don’t want to spend the time searching for some places to park or enter for free you may need to pay about $4 per person – still not a bad price at all!
And to help out all those guys out there ----> keep the date cheap & go mid-afternoon. Just eat lunch before and after the tulips treat your girl to a warm Starbucks beverage so she can stay warm even if the weather doesn’t! Or, grab some kettle corn or some ice cream at the tulip fields for a couple of dollars. Enjoy =)
I took my boyfriend out to see the tulips and we both really appreciated the advice on what to wear! Seattle weather can be tricky sometimes, so I went prepared with rainboots, but thankfully it was a very sunny day! Thanks for the much needed advice!
